A minha avó tinha uma força e um amor à vida tão grandes, que me fez acreditar que alguns de nós conseguiam escapar à morte e tornarem-se imortais. Quando ela morreu, com 92 anos, a sua morte foi para mim uma surpresa para a qual não me tinha preparado.
O cinema tem o imenso poder de criar a ilusão de vida e de a guardar. Este filme é a minha tentativa de resgatar a minha avó à morte.
Não é um documentário sobre a minha avó mas um filme com a minha avó. Quis filmar um fantasma para depois o devolver ao reino dos vivos, como Orfeu tentou com Eurídice. É um percurso de ressurreição.
É a minha forma de lhe dar a imortalidade, que julgo sua por direito.

[My grandma had a great strength and love for life which made me believe that some of us were able to become immortals and escape death. When she passed at the age of 92, her death was a surprise to me, which I was not prepared for.
The cinema has the immense power of creating the illusion of life and its protection. This film is my attempt to rescue my grandma from death. It is not a documentary about my grandma but a film with my grandma. I wanted to film a ghost and then return it to the realm of the living, like Orfeu tried with Eurídice. It is a route to resurrection. It is my way of giving her immortality which I deem to be her right.]
