Num Portugal rural e decadente, um jovem pastor testemunha um estranho encontro sexual. Nessa noite, ele enfrenta a sua mãe que insiste em matar o cordeiro que criam no quintal para as festas da aldeia, apesar do irmão mais novo não o compreender. Uma tempestade aproxima-se.
[In a rural and decaying Portugal, a young farm worker witnesses a strange sexual encounter. That night, he faces his mother who urges the killing of the lamb they raise for the local catholic festivities, despite his younger brother not understanding it. A storm approaches.]
