During this celebration concert of her professional Golden Jubilee, Amália was distinguished by the Portuguese President with the Great Cross of Santiago de Espada.
The audience, filling up the biggest playhouse in Lisbon paid an enthusiastic hommage to the 50 years of success of the great artist, and Amália sang, tears in her eyes, several of her most famous hits.
