Uma personagem quase ausente na imagem procura, em Macau de 2009, o Estrangeiro, alguém que ali viveu quinze anos antes.
Com recurso às cartas que o Estrangeiro lhe escrevia naquele período, o recém-chegado tenta encontrar o amigo desaparecido reconstituindo tudo o que imaginou com aquelas informações. Assim, percorre no presente os rastos que o Estrangeiro deixou no passado enquanto cria vestígios de uma nova ausência.

[A character almost absent from the image searches, in 2009’s Macao, for the Foreigner character, someone who lived there fifteen years before. Helped by the letters written to him by the Foreigner during that period and having recently arrived, he tries to find his lost friend reconstituting all that he imagined from the information. Thus, he traces in the present, the trails the Foreigner left in the past, while creating remnants of a new absence.]
