"I am an international interdisciplinary artist and researcher, working primarily with moving image and new technologies.
I take inspiration from history, philosophy, quantum physics and neuroscience, translating my beliefs into a visual narrative that inspires audiences to connect to their sense of being alive. I collaborate with others to expand what is possible and make my work relevant to today’s audiences.
In my latest film, Sing The Sand Into Pearls, I evoked a sense of awakening through the journey of the characters. The film aimed to create a parallel sphere where I not only observed how people chose to live, both presently and obliviously in this world, but also saw them discovering their potentials.
Sing The Sand Into Pearls has been showcased in 4 continents and has so far won 5 awards including Best Experimental, Art Lab, Best of Fest, Audience Award, and Best in Show.
I am currently collaborating with Eleanor Loh, a cognitive neuroscientist to create my next film that will inspire people to connect with their sense of the ‘now’. We live in a society where our daily lives are often governed by our relationship to remembered pasts and imagined futures, which often brings confusion to our lives. The intent of this partnership is to blend the latest scientific achievements in the field of memory with an artistic interpretation of being aware of the ‘now’ and therefore give the drive to find our role in it."
